Sarpap & Cecil Industries protects the French Pavillon

This big and spectacular structure of over 2000m² and made of more than 1500 m3 of wood, has been conceived by Cabinet XTU Architects, and manufactured and assembled by Simonin – a company specialising in design and manufacture of wood-based structures since 1967.
Two products of the AXIL range from Sarpap & Cecil Industries have been used to protect the 1450 pieces: a treatment and a protection product to preserve the wooden pieces from biological agents, weather aggressions and handling marks.

The architectural concept of the French Pavillon is based on "A territory building, a fertile market".
The French Pavillon, directly inspired from market halls, dear to the identity of many French towns, also puts forward the technical potential of wood products with added value, through its innovative structural treatment.
You can visit the Pavillon during the World Fair, which will take place from May 1st to October 31st in Milan. 144 countries and 3 international organisations will be represented. Every participant will have to contribute to the theme "Feeding the planet, energy for life".
