Groupe Berkem will attend the ICWSE!

Groupe Berkem will participate in the 2025 edition of the ICWSE (International Conference on Wood Science and Engineering), taking place from November 6 to 8, 2025, in Brașov, Romania.

ICWSE is a key international scientific event in the field of wood science, bringing together researchers, industry professionals, and stakeholders to discuss the latest advances in bio-based materials, wood engineering, and sustainable solutions.

On this occasion, Groupe Berkem will give an oral presentation and present a scientific poster entitled: “Arnica extract as a 100% vegetal wood preservative against wood decaying basidiomycetes, xylophageous insects and termites.”

This research highlights the effectiveness of Arnica montana extract as a fully plant-based alternative for protecting wood against major biological degradation agents: wood-decaying fungi, xylophagous insects, and termites.
